Connex released the new CX-566SB a couple of months ago and this is one of the few new SSB CB radios we’ve seen in recent years. I purchased the CX-566SB online and received one of the first radios available on the market. The box is pretty colorful and it makes it clear that one of the big features on this radio is the led display that can. The Connex laptops are pre-installed with Windows 10 Home full version The cost of the device includes the Windows 10 Home operating system This is the version recommended by Microsoft for these devices and is the one suited to the capabilities of the device. Which Connex radio you are inquiring. Like the 3300, 4800, 4800DX, etc. The 3300 is much like the Galaxy 33, 44, 55, 66, 73, 77, etc. A swing kit for this particular radio is.very. simple. The mod itself consists of a 1N914 diode and a 50 ohm resister in series. And an addition of a.01pF disk capacitor. Im sure you should be able to find.

CONNEX 3300 lol

Save Your Money. Cheap Chinese Junk - Ok For The House, But Flimsy in a Big Truck. A Comparable Old School Galaxy 33-44 Will Beat The Pants Off This Radio. Connex Receive Is Poor. What is the Sense in Being Loud, If You Cannot Hear Distant Stations? Yeah, Lets Spend More Money in Upgrades. lol Anything Over 100% Modulation is Distorted. Anything Over Will Interfear With
Operators on Adjacent Channels. Also Diminishing The Radio's Clarity. Pinchy Crusty Audio. The Difference Between 30 Watts and 40 Watts PEAK is NOTHING. A Signal must Double in Wattage for the Other Operator to See a Difference. 6db= 1 s unit. Running The Radio at 5 watts Max Dead Key At 100% Modulation and No Higher Will Give Best Results. It is better to Buy an OLD Cobra 29(Philippines) or Gal 33-44 along with a GOOD QUALITY ANTENNA.
Fosfet Finals Are JUNK. Why Do You think MANUFACTURERS Have Changed to Mosfets? CHEAP,CHEAP ,CHEAP. They Cannot Handle Heat and is Why They Fail! I Have Worked on Radios Since the 70's. I am Sure There Are People that Will disagree...I wonder Why There is So Many 20 to 30 year Old Great Sounding Radios Still on the Air? Maybe Because They have Better Boards and Components?
It is What it is.........

Winks Connex 3300hp #1 for dx and more!
this radio has been with me for a long time and i need to tell you guys a bit about it! its a Ranger board as you guys may know but to me its more than that, its a tough loud radio with the best audio i have ever used. I am always changing my setup in my pickup when something new or interesting pops up but i keep coming back to the 3300 hp ! only prob i ever had was a tiny single strand of wire behind the mic jack that would cause a squeel and even a few puffs of smoke when i finally burnt it off haha . it has been tuned up and aligned only once when it was new out of the box on low power it dead keys .5 watts and swings around 10 on high it dead keys 5 and swings 30+. I added a dual tone roger beep wired direct with no switch that is on all the time and talkback with the nb switch as the on/off. i run the astatic 636 noise canceler and its an audio beast , no need for a power mic with this board and of coarse it has the popular 'connex echo board'. this radio is my favorite dx radio too because the loud audio seems to punch through the noise even when its barefoot! on high it will drive most high drive boxes but i run it on low .5watts into any low drive 2-4-6 pill and evertything stays cool and clean!
so if you need a nice radio and like a classic look this is the one! as long as nobody has hacked it up with crap mods its number 1 in my rig...
mine has the red jeweled knobs in the pic of my bench will display closeup when i take fresh pics of all my radios!

The Loudest Out There Under $200.00, But No SSB??
The Connex 3300HP only quotes 40 watts output power, however I've seen them reach well over 50 (depending on the wattmeter of course) watts and higher! It is louder than any typical CB radio and louder than most 10 meter units as well (including many Galaxy mobiles).
The radio would be perfect if it were the fact they don't have SSB and is designed for AM/FM only (who uses FM anyways).

next my list of equipment
Pyramid ps-21KX power converter, Connex 3300 (not hp) CB radio
silver streak 150A antenna booster ? (I think thats what it is anyway)
Imax 99 eighteen foot fiberglass antenna mounted with the base at 9 feet (on the garage wife wont let me bolt it to the house...... yet) if I do move it to the house I'll pick up another 20 feet in height.
I have not run this gear yet, It was all given to me along with a bunch of other cb's and antenna, converters and another amp? or booster, not sure I haven't looked it all up yet.
I don't even know how to set all the knobs and switches on the CB to get started. so I need cb radio 101 pointers if anyone wants to start me off in the right direction.
